Money, Money, Money

You have probably heard that one of TxAPPS’ goals is to stay actively in touch with our members.  To that end, we have been scheduling various events including “Meet & Greet” barbeques and “Server Social Hours” in various parts of the state.

Our first Meet & Greet was last September at the City Park in Buda.  It was very well attended for a first event, perhaps because Ace Acevedo and his lovely wife were in charge of the grill!  And the food was everything we all expected.

Our second area Meet & Greet BBQ was this past June in Waxahachie.  Also well attended by both members and non-members, we have found that these events give us all time to renew old acquaintances and make new ones.  We’ve also realized that our events are a great way to discuss membership opportunities with non-members and seek their continuing support.

Following our successful Meet & Greets, we have branched out to take our Board meetings to our membership as well.  In july, our first TxAPPS “Live And In-Person” Board Meeting took place at Grady’s BBQ in San Antonio.  As previously, members and non-members were invited to attend and stay afterwards for the ‘Servers Social Hour” to visit and exchange ideas.

Our next “Live And In-Person” Board Meeting will be Sunday, September 16th in Houston.  Details are being confirmed at press time, so put it on your calendar now and look for your personal invitation to attend coming soon.
