TXAPPS Welcomes New Members
The Texas Association of Professional Process servers came into existence on April 10, 2017, when a handful of certified process servers banded together with a plan to stand on 5/2/2017 at the Texas Capitol in opposition to HB 2412, proposed legislation that would have circumvented the JBCC process server certification program. It was decided that since there are still organizations out there who are constantly fighting against the Supreme Court and Judicial Branch Certification Commission to undo the hard work of certified process servers both past and present, there needs to be a group of us certified process servers who not only support the Supreme Court and JBCC, but want to work with them to help refine and perfect the Process Servers Certification Program and the future of the process service industry in the State of Texas.
If you are a certified process server who believes in the certification program so that you can easily and with authority deliver documents issued throughout the State of Texas, we invite you to join us at TxAPPS!
If you are a Process Server Educator, the certification process is of utmost importance to you! We invite you to support us and join TxAPPS!
If you are an Attorney, Paralegal, Court Reporter, or other professional who believes that process servers should be educated, certified, and properly vetted before they knock on the doors of citizens of the State of Texas, we invite YOU to join TxAPPS!
If you have a product or service that could be used by or benefit certified process servers, we invite you to support us and join TxAPPS!

Though there were many questions of WHY the great State of Texas has a new organization for professional process servers, we received overwhelming respect for sticking to our guns and making sure that certified process servers received the representation they deserved in the 85th Texas Legislative Session.

Insurance Expertise
The importance of having good insurance coverage if you’re in the process serving industry, cannot be expressed enough. We live and work in a world where individuals are more than happy to sue anyone they can for anything they can think of; we know… we deliver their notifications from the courts! There are tons of insurance companies out there with a ton of different products; most of which have the same names… but not all insurance policies are truly the same. For example, a General Liability policy for a bookstore owner, probably won’t cover an incident that happens during a promotional event for their business… their policy will cover only incidents that happen within the store. Process servers are least likely to have incidents happen within their offices, unless you’re referring to the “office” being their automobile. So, the same policy provisions needed for a bookstore owner are different than the provisions needed for a process server or other delivery-type person. Read more...
